Located in the city center, the apartment overlooks the traditional Madeiran houses, the sea, and the Cathedral of Funchal—just a five-minute walk away. Originally built in the 1970s, the apartment has been completely refurbished and now features a warm, modern, and contemporary decor. Daylighting is a key feature of this apartment. Both bedrooms (each with a double bed), as well as the living room and kitchen, have large windows that fill the space with sunlight. The windows and balcony offer views of the mountains, sea, city rooftops, and the Cathedral of Funchal, allowing you to experience the vibrant pulse of the city. The renovation used modern, sturdy, and stylish materials, ensuring all the comforts needed for a relaxing and memorable vacation. NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW Situated in the heart of Funchal, you’ll find points of interest in every direction. The Cathedral is opposite, the sea is nearby, and the restored old town is to the left. To the right, you’ll reach College Largo, home to the historic Municipality building, the Sacred Art Museum, and the College Church. The city center is full of restaurants, terraces, museums, gardens, and the bay with its impressive cruise ships. By car, the beach area is just 15 minutes away. GETTING AROUND The aerobus stop is a 3-minute walk from the apartment, providing easy airport transfers. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi transfer with our trusted local partners, often cheaper than airport taxis. GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the property. GUEST INTERACTION We are always available for any concerns. Contact us via local numbers or email. All information is available on the info board at the entrance. OTHER OBSERVATIONS - All guests must present a valid ID (passport or identity card) as required by Portuguese law. - Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not scheduled within 48 hours before arrival, check-in will be subject to team availability. - Linens and towels are provided. A cot, high chair, and baby’s tub can be arranged if needed. The property is equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers, and an anti-fire blanket. ATTENTION A municipal tourist fee of €2.00 per person per night (ages 13 and up) applies, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). Upon arrival, you will receive a link to pay this tax. HOUSE RULES To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property. • Parties or events are not permitted. • We ask that you be considerate of the neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night. The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, you may receive a message from our team asking you to check the situation. In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration. A municipal tourist tax may be charged (€2 per person per night, up to a maximum of 7 nights). Check-in: from 4 pm. Early check-in is subject to availability and payment of a fee. Check-out: by 12:00. Late check-out is subject to availability and payment of a fee.
